Kyoto. Part 2. 15.04.2015
Kyoto is much more tourists city in compared to Tokyo. Too many Europeans here. It's also easy to mention on prices. It was much cheaper to have a dinner or buy some stuff in Tokyo. Even souvenirs and transport tickets were cheaper there. And a school students are everywhere. It's easy to meet one of them at any time at any place. Always in uniform with a backpack and a lot of schoolmates. They even say hello some times and run away laughing. I bet they do it on bet :) But it looks funny (:
Still no luck with the weather. Too many rains and wet days. Just one day was sunny. Well thanks for that.
The nasty weather is not a show stopper for tourists. Even for those who rented geisha kimono for photos. Women were posing for photos and smiled under the pouring rain.
From the other hand what choice do we have? Just sit around in the apartment or visit the Golden Pavilion under the rain? I guess the choice is obvious.
Japanese spent a lot of efforts and money in such gardens and temples. One of such examples is Japanese rock garden. There are 15 rocks, but from any point one can’t observe all 15. At least one of them is always hidden. Ideal place for meditation.
Not just Kyoto is interesting with it’s sightseeing places, but also places around. Not far away there is amazing picturesque river. Along it there is a private railway (about 30 minute long by train). A lot of tourists like to visit this place. Even locals also.
All we know tourists love to take pictures. European people are extremely polite in these cases: if they see that they can spoil the picture, then they will stop and allow fellow travellers to take a shot. If they spoiled it they usually apologize. Japanese and Asians are absolutely different here. In most cases they don’t care about others. They can easily jump into the shot and don’t mention that. So it might be tricky to catch a good shot.
