Versailles 23.09.2019
Well, to be honest, I won't write much about Versailles, the post mostly will be about Paris (: At least I'll start with Versailles.
Looks like military is in charge of palace guard. Interesting.
Wont' post anything from inside the palace, but gardens are really beautiful.
And the statues.
Tourists, especially Chinese and Japanese, are extremely attracted to swans. I can't explain it. Other guys are not that interested somehow.
If you don't want to walk, there is a special stop from which you can take a golf car (with driver) and explore the entire park from it. It's not free though.
After I had enough of the palace, its gardens, janitors with cleaners (!) I went back to explore more Paris. There were so much more in the city.
After a fire Notre Dame de Paris is still closed. Nobody knows when it will be open again. A lot of people still come here at least to take a picture and look at the building from the side. New York Times has amazing article explaining how dangerous the fire was.
I hope they will manage to restore everything without making it a project for dozens and dozens of years.
Souvenirs for tourists.
Next to Notre Dame de Paris there are several amazing must see places.
All these people in line think the same.
Sainte-Chapelle. To be honest on the entrance I thought "Is that it? Is that I spent half an hour in line and paid 10 euro for? Really?". Then I figured out it was just a first floor.
I went up and I almost had my jew on the floor. Stained glass is absolutely mind-blowing. Photos and my words just can't give you a real impression. I definitely recommend experience it yourself (:
Scooters are extremely popular in the city. Unfortunately some of those guys really think they have the highest priority on the road. Even if they're trying to go through pedestrian crossing during the green light for people phase.
Also there are so many open-air cafes right on the street. However I've nothing against it (:
Book bazaar. There were not many clients. Most of them aren't that young already (:
Got to Sorbonne in Latin quarter. I really wanted to visit the University, unfortunately the guard told me I can do it only with invitation or something. Sad smile :(
Cafes in the quarter. Those people might be students :)
The advertising. I don't know why, but it hooked me somehow.
Many state parks have gate like this one. I've no idea why they need it, but it's almost everywhere.
Just evening city. Tomorrow I'll be in Monmartr!
