Finally I managed to visit Death Valley. During my previous visit I wasn't lucky as the national park was closed due to government shutdown in 2013. Though even this time there was a huge massive probability of failure due to yet another shutdown which was finished just a couple of days before my visit. Phew.

Even though it's a Death Valley the weather was a bit chilly. Just around +20C. However in summer time average day temperature is above +40C. Also all the previous day long it was rainy, thus the sand in dunes was wet which isn't cool.

Sun and chilly weather are just a perfect match for the place. Best time to visit!
Though just a couple weeks later it was snowing in Vegas! Which isn't normal for the region.

The landscape varies a lot in the Valley. From a desert like to mountains. There is also an oasis.

Zabriskie point. The best view is at sunrise or sunset. Didn't manage to catch the best time, still the view is astonishing.

Volcano crater. It's not active already. But the place is windy as hell. I was almost blown by wind (:

Due to recent rains the road was partially in huge puddles of mud. Thus the car quickly became absolutely dirty. Hopefully rental guys won't go crazy about it.

Open space.

In this place people also mined borax. It was stopped a long time ago, but still there's a print of it here.

Mountains are also interesting. It's not very often when rocks are in different colors.

Badwater basin. The lowest point in entire North America. 86 meters under sea level. There is even installed sign on a sea level. A long time ago there was a sea, but nowadays the water is gone. There's just salt.

It looks like a snow. Especially when there are people in warm clothes nearby. It's not just picture, live impression is the same.

It's very hot here in summer. The valley is lower than sea level and surrounded by mountains. This creates oven effect. Land surface temperature might reach 100C in some places. You can literally cook on it. So if you decide visit the Valley, check the weather in advance. Otherwise you risk your shoes will stick to this land forever (:
