Plitvice lakes 20.08.2015
After driving rain in Zagreb, I refreshed in my memory the drizzle from Japan. Still it was not that bad and the overall impression was just amazing.
The first thing I faced here — the huge queue to buy the ticket. Fortunately we got lucky and got a chance to buy the ticket bypass the queue in the very same ticket window (:
Plitvice lakes is a big park with trails, bridges over the lakes and even buses and boats (ride fee included into the ticket). It was really a good job done by Croatian.
The water in lakes extremely pure and clear. It should be very beautiful in sunny weather.
Lakes are located on different height which results in a sequence of waterfalls with overall height more then a hundred meters.
You can spend the whole day trying to find the most bright and beautiful places here. Even several days. But the time presses.
Yes, the bus is free (well, it's just included in the ticket price), therefore it can help you to get to the remote points, but you won't see anything from it. You have to walk there. Which is amazing, especially if there is no rain (:
