You can’t visit Tokyo and avoid mountain Fuji. It’s so famous, there are hundreds and thousands references to it in Japanese culture, tourist advertising materials. Mountain is known as one of the most attractive places to visit in Japan. Though the view from the picture is not that simple to catch.

Even in nice clear days you can see the mountain only in the early morning. Around the lunch time it will be hidden by clouds. Today we already couldn’t see the mountain around 11AM. After lunch it started to rain which ended only in the late night.

It was a bit cool in the morning. Though Japanese girls are doing miracle things. They are ready to pose in a light dress just to take some pictures. I saw this girl for at least 20 minutes and she was not going to leave the place. Then I moved forward and I have no idea how long they were there afterwards.

One can climb the Fujisan mountain, though at this time it’s possible on your own risk. Also the quite good amount of snow will not ease the climb. In summer time from first of June till the end of August normally life guards are working there. Also the trail is in much better condition.
It’s a bit colder in this area, therefore sakura blooms here a bit later than in the rest part. So it’s just the middle of blossom right now.

There are a lot of tourist sights around the mountain. Lifts to viewpoints, historic villages and other places. One of such villages is Oshino Hakkai. To be honest it’s overadvertised in the internet. However the impression was affected by rain and it was hard to enjoy the village.
