Beautiful pictures from Internet inspired me to visit Djerdap park. Well. This was the case when the reality didn't match expectations at all. It all started with Roman bridge ruins. Just a ruins. Nothing special.
Nearby there were Turkish fortress ruins. Also nothing special.
By occasion there also was a Bulgarian circus. Now we have truly international company (:
The park lies along the Danube river. One can't just miss that amount of water energy. So they built hydroelectric power station in here. On the other riverside it's already Romania, by the way. So the station is shared.
And Decebalus head. Though it's also on the other side. I need a visa to get closer.
The road in this part of Serbia is very good. Especially compared to dangerous serpentines and awful broken asphalt during last couple of days.
Iron Gates. I dreamed to visit it (especially after pictures in Internet). Dream came true :)
Though it didn't impress me that much. Looked pretty gray and usual.
Cozy town Donji Milanovac. You can get here from Belgrade by bus. You don't have to rent a car.
Bus station.
Danube always attracted people even before Ottoman and Roman Empires. Lepinsky Vir was a standing place for ancient hunters. Though the houses are more related to Serbians...
... though there is also an archaeological sight.
And forts. There are lots of them. Though I didn't manage to get inside :(
I had to wait about 4 hours to get in. Unfortunately I didn't have that much time. My plane was already in the evening. I doubt it'd wait for me to visit a beautiful castle. But still I could enjoy the view from the outside.
Sometimes you can easily spot Ottoman prints here. The little building is hamam (:
I hope it's not a living houses.
Yet another fort. Though not in a very good shape.
In the end it turned out, that there is a number of picturesque places, but they're quite far from each other. There was no super impression from visits (or maybe I just got a bit tired by the end of my trip). I wouldn't advise to go there unless you have nothing else to do. Probably I'd better go to Novi-Sad.
