Yerevan 25.05.2017
Didn't manage to stay enough time in Yerevan, but maybe it's better this way.
In the evening time one can find Yerevan Singing Fountains right in front of Government building. Quite a number of people comes here to watch it and listen. Looks like one of the main attraction in the city :)
There are a lot of people on the central street even in the late hour. However also there were a lot of police officers and some military guys. May be there was some special occasion, but didn't feel really comfortable because of that.
However a couple of steps aside the centre and there is already no such crowd anymore. A lot of "massage" saloons really sticks out on the street. Almost a red light district :)
Another thing really surprised me is unbelievable amount of alcohol in local shops. It's everywhere. Yesterday I made a stop on the road to buy a bottle of water. I needed 5 minutes to spot the bottle of water. All the racks were in vodka. The mineral water was hidden somewhere on the side. Looks like it's not really popular here.
You must be really careful on the streets. It's really easy to get under the hatch.
Yerevan is a very old city, unfortunately there is not really a lot of ancient buildings or sightseeing. A huge reconstruction in Soviet time demolished almost all old notable buildings. That's why it's much more interesting outside Yerevan than inside it. Nevertheless it was cool to stay here a night and walk a bit in the city. Just to make my own impression on it.
