Zagreb didn’t make an impression of hospitable city. Maybe it was because of weather which became worse and worse and in the evening we found ourselves in the city center under pouring rain. Even umbrellas didn’t help. There were literally rivers on the streets. The central part is on the hill, so the water flows down and the shoes were full of water (:
Nevertheless we had a short walk before the rain. Central part started from Jelacic Square wich a monument to Ban Josip Jelacic. The monument was not that easy to install as that was in the time of Austro-Hungarian Empire. Austrian part was happe to install it, while Hungary part of empire was sure that Ban was a traitor.

Croatian are christians, therefore you can meet some churches here as well. Though after Wien Cathedrals it looks quite decent.

There is nothing special in the old town. I didn’t meet there as many tourists as I saw in Vienna or even in Bratislava.

The city outskirt reminds me Soviet hinterland. But with trams connection.
