Hague is a surpising city. Netherlands is one of a few countries where the goverment is located outside official capital. Everybody knows that London is a cpital, oh, I mean Amsterdam is a capital of Netherlands. Though it’s not that well known that the goverment is located in Hague.

It might seem strange, though the city is not that reach for tourist attraction. Well, it’s just a couple dozens kilometers to Amsterdam. All tourists are there (:
The weather was mainly cloudy. Some building were looking a bit severely because of it.

The severe North sea looks even more severe.

Then I decided to visit a prison. It's not active anymore. They have a museum there. As a bonus I got an amazing excursion in Dutch :D Despite almost half of visitors were absolutely sure they do not understand the language, a guide told us exciting stories in Dutch. Though it looks like he suspected that some guys do not understand him, therefore just in case he translated to us phrases like "watch the step" or "watch the head'. At least thanks for that. There was no option of a tour in English, therefore I had no choice. There was only a couple of papers with English description.
Some of the room were definitely designed for tortures. However according to papers tortures were used in exceptional cases. I hardly believe in that, especially after visiting Amsterdam a couple of years ago. I was there in dungeon museum which more than completely was dedicated to tortures.

Of course you should visit the viewpoint. The central part is quite low. If my memory serves me good, there is a goverment taboo on skyscrapers in the city center. However you can see some outside center. The view point is quite strange: you have to pay 6 euro as entrance fee, but the cup of coffee is already included. I would skip my coffee, though as it is already paid you have no chance to skip it :)

The strange things was that I didn't find any shop with souvenirs. I spend the entire day in this city and there was no a single shop. In other cities I've ever been, even not popular among tourists, you can find some souvenirs.
A bit later I found the China town. This is the most unusual China town I've ever seen. There were Turkish, English, Indian, African people. And I saw the only guy who was Chinese. It should be hard to leave in such a China town (:

In the city centre found LGBT office. In the very same moment I was preparing to shoot the flag suddenly bikers on bike with the same flag showed up on the street and they though I was going to take picture of them. I was politely asked to not take it. Like the picture of two gay bikers is the only thing I realy need (:

Sometimes there are too many flags on the streets. You can feel that goverment is somewhere around you (:

At the end of my story about the trip to Holland I would like to mention a huge mosque Assalam in Rotterdam (I was there only bypassing the city, therefore there will be no separate post about it for now) [source of the second photo]
