Western coast 10.10.2013
The road from LA to SF goes through the west coast. You could think that as it’s pretty much the same place, though nature and climate changes there dramatically. Around LA it was sand beaches and nice hot weather, though in SF area it was a rocky coast and much colder outside.
A long time ago Spanish were the rulers here. Even now you can see some prints of it in architecture. There are a lot of Spanish speaking people. Most part of signs or menu is also translated to Spanish. Though the nature is also very beautiful. It is one of the reason why a lot of Americans are wiling to relocate here. Though the cost of life here and tax rate is a bit bigger than in others states which is sometimes a show stopper.
California is famous not just with Silicon Vallye and Hollywood, but also by its agriculture. They grow here realy tasty strawberry. One can even buy some fresh straws in local shop or even on the road side.
Unfortunately goverment shutdown is still ongoing. The new deadline to solve this question is October, 17. Unfortunately it’s too late for us. Therefore I missed my chance to visit Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park and even Alcatraz. Everything is closed. I should plan one more visit here (:
For now I can only enjoy the nature and local state parks.
