Fenghuang 07.05.2018
After exhausting climbing in mountains it's time to make a pause and dive into historical Chinese quarters,
Chinese don't really care about historical buildings. Up and down they simply demolish the entire old blocks and put there a brand new buildings instead. That's why places like Fenghuang are especially interesting.
Though do not expect too much, otherwise you might be disappointed. It's really cool here just for one night.
I've never seen so many sleeping workers in one city before.
There are a lot of people in traditional costumes. I'm pretty sure it's a rented one for a photo session.
As usual there are tons of street food.
There are a lot of construction works. Looks like they're getting ready to high season. Though I was surprised that a lot of workers do not use automation at all.
The old city is surrounded by the wall. They really like things like that here.
There are a lot of artists in the city. Even a guy who creates beautiful signs.
There are a lot of fishers in the city. Though I've no idea if they're lucky enough with the fishing.
Closer to the sunset people come to mass dancing. Looks really cool. It reminds more a physical exercises, though people are really happy with the event.
The city looks beautiful in a daylight, though it's not the most picturesque view...
...they turn on night lights and the city looks much more interesting.
Though be careful with photos from the Internet. Real life view might be a bit more humble and photos will simply increase your expectations.
During dark hours the night life goes crazy. Well, there are a lot of clubs with extremely high sound and workers try to attract visitors. Though in the best case visitors are just sitting there and drinking.
Around 11 in the evening clubs are shutting down and only some drunk youngsters shout across the river. Though after 1-2 hours city completely goes sleepy.
On the next day in the morning I will move to the next point.
