Goa 24.09.2017
Goa trip started with ride on Hindustan Ambassador. It looks very cool and is known as one of the best Indian cars. It reminded me old good Soviet autos. Though it was discontinued in 2014.
Finally the ocean.
Despite hot weather and warm water it's not really a good time for swimming. Well, you can go into the water near the seaside, however not too far. It's not a season right now...
Strong flows took a lot of people last years in the open water, thus this year they have more strict policies and simply do not allow to swim too far from the side. Once someone reaches something like half body deep place, the safeguard asks to return back.
Nevertheless, there are a lot of tourists here (mostly locals).
A lot of people swim in t-shirts and shorts. Even men. Which is a bit unusual.
More or less it's clean on the beach, however time to time I saw some trash or even cow shit. Normally it's cleaned quick enough.
There is a number of interesting places worth to visit, but it's spread throughout Goa. So it's better to have some transport to visit it all. Most popular is scooter or bike.
Goa is former Portuguese colony. You can easily notice that: there are way too many Portuguese-styled buildings, fortresses and Catholic churches.
Red fort is built on the top of the hill, from there there is a beautiful view:
In Goa people live in small towns, but even there we were quite often in traffic jams. Who could imagine...
Most interesting and oldest churches are in the Old Goa town.
However even here most people believe in Hindu religion, not Christianity.
In general day in Goa was quite relaxed. However (may be cause I was already a bit tired by the end of the trip), from all places we visited here, I liked that one the less. I didn't get why Goa is so popular among fellow Russians (:
